About Kins

Kins Skin Clinic is a medical skin clinic run by Dr. Louise Smyth MB BCH BAO (HONS), MICGP, DERMDIP Dr Louise is registered with the Irish Medical council and holds Membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners.

Cancellation Policy

As a busy mum herself, Dr. Louise understands that cancellations are inevitable and that sometimes life gets in the way of appointments. We ask that you provide a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation of appointments. Cancellations can me made via our booking system or emailing info@kins.ie

If you fail to provide 48 hours notice of cancellation or amendment we reserve the right to charge for all missed consultations and 50% of the cost associated with a missed treatment appointment.

Late arrivals

Please ensure you arrive on time for your appointment on the day. In the case of late arrival for an appointment we regrettably cannot guarantee the full allocated duration of the appointment out of courtesy to our next client. In this situation patients will incur the full cost of the treatment

Treatment appointments

All patients should have an initial skin consultation with Dr. Louise either in clinic or online prior to any treatments in the clinic. This is to ensure that the treatment is the right one for you and that your skin is prepped appropriately prior to treatment. Please contact us at info@kins.ie if you have any questions.

Initial Consultation

A first consultation is a 60 minute appointment either in clinic or online (30 minutes). During this consultation Louise will talk to you about what you’re looking to achieve. She will then guide you and set out some options for you going forward.

Medical History

It is important that you provide a complete medical history when asked. Kins Skin Clinic will not be held liable for any damage caused because of withheld information or failure to follow instructions from Dr. Louise   

Please ensure you are aware of your current medical history, any medications you are taking and any allergies you have. It is the responsibility of the patient to know these details and provide them to Kins Skin Clinic. If possible please complete the medical health and skin health questionnaire prior to arrival.

Pre treatment procedure

Please ensure that you are aware of any pre-treatment procedure guidelines prior to treatments e.g. stopping retinols, blood thinners etc.

What to expect

We would appreciate if you could please come without makeup on prior to appointments. If you are attending for a treatment, you will be issued with pre-treatment guidance prior to the consultation via email.
