What is Cellular Matrix?

PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is a substance derived from your own blood that contains a high concentration of platelets and growth factors. In facial rejuvenation, PRP is injected into specific areas of the face to stimulate collagen production and tissue repair. This helps improve the skin's texture, reduce wrinkles, and promote a more youthful appearance. PRP is a natural and safe procedure, as it uses your own blood, and typically requires multiple treatment sessions for optimal results.

Cellular Matrix is a (non crosslinked) hyaluronic acid that can be combined with PRP to enhance the above described results. Hyaluronic acid production and retention slows down significantly as we age. It is responsible for hydrating and plumping our skin but also for providing the correct environment for certain cells like collagen producing cells to flourish. When added to PRP it gives added benefits of hydration to the treatment but also allows the PRP to be exposed to the tissues for longer so that the collagen stimulation is amplified.

Cellular Matrix PRP can be injected directly into the top layer of the skin for increased skin strength and hydration or with a deeper injection to provide more structural support of overlying tissue. Cellular matrix can be injected with a needle or a canula for targeted treatment of certain areas and depths of the skin or can be used as a surface agent to enhance microneedling results.

Studies have shown superior results from the combination of PRP with Hyaluronic acid (HA) as opposed to using either one in isolation. In particular, we see significant improvement in the skin’s elasticity and hydration.

Cellular Matrix PRP has the effect of deep, long lasting, and stable hydration, the combination of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Hyaluronic Acid (HA) as an actual cellular matrix for skin rejuvenation offers the following benefits:

·       Enhanced collagen production, resulting in improved skin elasticity and firmness.

·       Improved skin texture, tone, and reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.

·       Increased skin hydration and moisture retention.

·       Reduction in the appearance of scars and sun damage.

·       Natural and safe treatment, as both PRP and HA are derived from the patient's own body or biocompatible substances.

  • The combination of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Hyaluronic Acid (HA) as an actual cellular matrix for skin rejuvenation offers the following benefits:

    • Enhanced collagen production, resulting in improved skin elasticity and firmness.

    • Improved skin texture, tone, and reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.

    • Increased skin hydration and moisture retention.

    • Reduction in the appearance of scars and sun damage.

    • Natural and safe treatment, as both PRP and HA are derived from the patient's own body or biocompatible substances.

When PRP and HA are combined, they work synergistically to stimulate collagen synthesis, hydrate the skin, and promote cellular regeneration. This combination can lead to a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.

  • The treatment starts by taking a sample of blood which is then spun and separated in a centrifuge. This is then injected back into the skin using a needle or a cannula (blunt needle). There is little, if any, downtime after this procedure, although you may experience some redness, swelling or bruising at the injection site for a few days post treatment

  • The downtime following a treatment with RegenPRP or Cellular matrix for skin rejuvenation is typically minimal. However, it can vary depending on individual factors and the specific techniques used during the procedure.

Generally, patients may experience some mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites immediately after the treatment. These effects are usually temporary and subside within a few hours to a few days.

Most individuals can resume their normal daily activities immediately after the procedure. However, it is recommended to avoid exposure to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strenuous exercise for at least 24 to 48 hours following the treatment to allow the skin to heal and minimize the risk of complications.

  • It is recommended that for the best results, you commit to 3 RegenLab treatments, 30 days apart and plan for a maintenance treatment every 6-9 months thereafter.

  • Pre care - To decrease your reactivity post procedure we would advise stopping your retinol 7 days before hand, not to drink alcohol 24 hours beforehand and if possible not to take tablets that increase your risk of bruising like antiinflamatorios, omega fish oils, aspirin etc

Post care - depending on your reaction to the procedure we may advise a skin care routine without actives or retinol for a few days, and you may use arnica if you have brusining. Avoid exercise and heat to the face.
